Tech Lead – Golang EVM (Blockchain Protocol)

The Role:

You will:

• Lead a team of backend and protocol engineers, ensuring high technical standards and consistent delivery.
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and performant components of the core protocol using Golang.
• Own critical services such as networking, consensus, state management, and virtual machine integration.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with cryptographers, DevOps, and product leaders to define and implement key features and upgrades.
• Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
• Conduct design reviews, performance profiling, and root-cause analysis on complex protocol-level issues.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives and engage with the wider developer ecosystem when needed.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

• 6+ years of backend or systems programming experience, including 3+ years in Golang.
• Proven experience building high-performance distributed systems or blockchain protocols.
• Deep knowledge of systems fundamentals: networking, concurrency, memory management, consensus algorithms, etc.
• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing engineers.
• Ability to work across the full SDLC – from design and architecture through to deployment and monitoring.
• Passion for open-source development and web3 principles.

Nice-to-Have:

• Prior experience working on a Layer 1 or Layer 2 blockchain (or equivalent distributed system).
• Contributions to Golang-based blockchain projects.
• Familiarity with cryptographic primitives, virtual machines (EVM/WASM), or data availability layers.
• Experience optimizing for low-latency or high-throughput environments.
• Interest in formal verification, fuzzing, or security audits.
